Pesquisa:Inquérito crack Brasil/Known populations
|
Bus drivers; taxi drivers; bankers
editarStatus: we haven't been able to find exactly what we want for these online. We sent an email to the MTE to try and clarify (the numbers we want clearly exist)
Survey questions: Q208, Q209, Q210
Data Source: CAGED, Census?
Year: 2011
Site: CAGED Perfil do Município
Comments:
- seems to have data by month
- doesn't appear to be info by age/sex/etc
- census has employment info for the long-form, but it looks like they don't separate jobs into categories as narrow as we'd like. (eg, they appear to lump bus drivers and truck drivers together)
Enrollees in 5-8th series, private; enrollees in ensino medio, private and public; teachers of pre-school to medio, public and private
editarStatus: We have the school census data, but haven't parsed these populations out yet
Survey questions: Q205, Q206, Q207, Q220, Q221
Data Source: INEP Censo Escolar 2011 (School Census)
Year: 2011 possible w/ microdata (also 2009, from Cidades@)
Site: INEP microdata and IBGE Cidades
Comments:
- the IBGE-Cidades@ database has totals, but more detailed totals are available from INEP
- this more detailed info includes breakdown by sex and broad age groups (under 15, 15-17, 17+), though not at the same time
- lots of microdata are available here; it's not entirely clear to me how many of these would be useful.
- for the enrollment data, it looks like the micro censo escolar 2010 file called TS_MATRICULA_2010 has data on students by age/race
- for teachers, there appear to be microdata on age/sex/color in the file called TS_DOCENTES_2010
Men/women over 70 years of age; boys/girls under 5
editarStatus: we have the public use microdata sample from the census, but haven't parsed these populations out yet
Survey questions: Q214, Q215, Q216, Q217
Data Source: Cidades@ / Census 2010
Year: 2010
Site: IBGE Cidades and 2010 Census public use microdata
Comments:
- looks like the full breakdown of population by age and sex is available
- it looks like many website may provide access to census results; for example, DATASUS may also have these
Births to mothers who are over/under 20 yrs old
editarStatus: we have the public use microdata sample from the census, but haven't parsed these populations out yet
Survey questions: Q201, Q201
Data Source: Census (long-form)
Year: 2010
Site: 2010 Census public use microdata
Comments:
- long-form of the census will allow us to produce these estimates
- there are also birth records in the VR system; we could try to adjust these using the census info on the fraction of births that was registered
Immigrants; Widows; Women with 4+ children; people who can't read/write
editarStatus: we have the public use microdata sample from the census, but haven't parsed these populations out yet
Survey questions: Q211, Q219, Q222, Q223
Data Source: Census 2010 (long-form)
Year: 2010
Site: 2010 Census public use microdata and IBGE Cidades
Comments:
- we need the long-form microdata to get these populations
- they will be available by sex and age
Men / women married in the last year
editarStatus: got this for 2008-2010 from the Cidades website; still need to assemble the city files into one big dataset
Survey questions: Q203, Q204
Data Source: IBGE Cidades / Civil Registration / Census (?)
Year: 2010 (but see note about Civil Registration below)
Comments:
- also has divorce / separation
- does not appear to have info by age/sex
- long-form of the census has information about married/divorced/separated/civil union/etc (but not over the past year)
- for civil registration, have to check that the most recent years are fully reported
Mothers enrolled in Bolsa Familia
editarStatus: Collected these on July 24, 2012 and put them on this spreadsheet
Survey questions: Q213
Data Source: MDS (Ministry of Social Development)
Year: 2010
Site: MDS and MDS municipio query
Comments:
- I'm not sure if this give us exactly what we need. It looks like it's number of family members, not the count of families (or the count of mothers)
- note that long-form of the census asks how much $ received from Bolsa Familia
Deaths in the last year
editarStatus: we haven't downloaded this yet, but we have had success in the past
Data Source: DATASUS, Census?
Year: 2009 (2010?)
Site: DATASUS ICD-10 files and DATASUS query
Comments:
- data seem to be available by age, sex, race, and education
- should also be able to get estimates of this quantity from the census, and maybe also from SIDRA? (not all independent sources, necessarily)
Emigres
